Co-Presidents
The ChEGS Co-Presidents act as chief executive officers of the ChEGS organization and are in charge of organizing officer meetings, budgeting funding with the Treasurers, and serving as the ChEGS representatives during departmental faculty meetings.
Treasurers
The ChEGS Treasurers are responsible for managing ChEGS funding, including budgeting, recording, and reimbursing expenses of ChEGS sponsored events.
Editorial Chairs
The ChEGS Editorial Chairs write, edit, and publish the ChEGS newsletter, which recaps recent ChEGS events, highlights individuals of the department, and brings attention to relevant world events that affect the graduate student body. The ChEGS Editorial Chairs also maintains the ChEGS website.
Social Media Manager
The ChEGS Social media manager handles the ChEGS social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, twitter) and maintains the event archives.
Recruitment Chairs
The ChEGS Recruitment Chairs work directly with the CBE department in coordinating and executing the activities of the CBE graduate recruitment weekends.
Social Chairs
The ChEGS Social Chairs are responsible for planning and coordinating ChEGS events throughout the year, ranging from departmental holiday parties and game nights to volunteer work and outreach activities.
Seminar Chair
The ChEGS Student Seminar Chair organizes monthly seminars highlighting the research being done by students of the department or professional development workshops aimed to elevate the skill sets of the graduate student body. They also organize refreshments for departmental seminars.
